25 September 2023: Salman Khan has leased his commercial property to Landcraft Retail so they can open a new gourmet shop on Mumbai's Linking Road. Landcraft Retail leased this property for a monthly rental of Rs 1 crore, according to the most recent report published by ET. Food Hall, which is owned by the financially distressed Future Group, will be replaced by the new business, called Food Square. Salman reportedly paid an astounding Rs 120 Crores for this home in 2012, ostensibly for business use. In 2017, he leased it to Food Hall. 

This expansive property includes Lower Ground Floor, Ground Floor, First Floor, and Second Floor and is spread across 2,140.71 square meters. For a Rs 5.4 Crore down payment, Landcraft Retail has been leased it. On August 2, 2023, the rent agreement transaction was completed.

A recent report claims that Salman Khan intends to construct a 19-story hotel in a prime location in Mumbai. The actor's family is one of many from Bollywood who have made significant real estate investments. Salim Khan, his father, has previously said that he constantly buys houses for his family, which includes Salman Khan.

Salman's mother, Salma Khan, owns a block of land on Carter Road that faces the sea, and the BMC has given them clearance for a hotel. The residential Starlet Cooperative Housing Society was formerly located on this site. There have been rumors that the Khan family's original intention was to rebuild it as a home. Now, they may have had a change of heart. 

The Khans have always been represented by the architecture company Sapre & Associates, which has submitted updated plans for a 69.90-meter-long, centrally air-conditioned commercial building.

According to the designs, the building will have a restaurant and cafe on the first and second levels, a service floor on the fourth, a gym and swimming pool on the third floor, and a conference center on the fifth and sixth floors. The hotel will be housed on levels seven through nineteen.
